In 1992, Doug and I opened "All Things Small"™ in Oklahoma City as a full-line retail miniatures store.

I fell in love with Diane Foster's line of Little Goodies flower kits, and stocked most of her line. Inevitably, many customers requested an assembled kit to look at .... so, I started making up samples. Before long, I was selling the samples along with the kits ! I even began attending shows, filling a table with finished plants from Little Goodies kits, and I loved doing it.

Part of my personal goal as a miniatures artist is to keep improving my work, and after awhile, I'd done about as much as I could with Diane's kits. I began using custom made paper punches and special papers. But, even custom punches have limits, and I strove for better results. Diane has moved on as well, and sold her Little Goodies line a few years ago.

Thanks to laser technology, I've been able to increase realism in many of my plant parts - I use living plants and flowers as patterns to design accurate miniature landscaping products. These are cut on Japanese crepe or Oriental rice papers.

In 1999, we retired the retail store, and I now operate from my home studio. I specialize in 1" scale outdoor flowers, plants, and shrubs, as well as custom work in these areas. I offer my work thru my website, and at miniature shows. I usually offer workshops at the shows I attend as a dealer.
